GREEN ENERGY JUICE

IMG_5392

This stuff is so good for you and is extremely energizing.  Full of vitamins and minerals.

If you aren’t a huge fan of the taste of green juices, I would encourage you to add a green apple to the mix.  It makes a world of difference in taste!

A drop or two of liquid stevia works as well, although I prefer the green apple.

Juice Ingredients:

1 field cucumber

3 stalks celery

2-3 leaves of kale (lacinato “dinosaur” kale in this case)

1/2 head of green or red lettuce

1 head romaine lettuce

1/2 grapefruit (peeled)

1 inch piece of ginger (unpeeled)

Few Sprigs of mint

4-5 sprigs of flat leaf parsley

Optional:  1 Granny Smith apple

Juice all ingredients, serve on ice.  This recipe makes quite a large quantity, I would say 3-4 servings worth.

The juice should keep in an airtight container (I got mine here) about 24-48 hours max, although it is best to consume the same day.
