I LOVE this recipe! I halved everything to make it as a “snack” smoothie. I also didn’t have time to freeze the apple so I added 3-4 cubes of ice instead. I didn’t add any sweetener either. Though I imagine it would then taste SUPER amazing. This seriously tastes like apple pie! YUM!
Thanks so much for the recipe Larice!!! Can’t wait to try more of your delicious concoctions! 🙂
Makes 1 Snack Size Serving
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 medium handful of spinach
1/2 chopped apple
3-4 Ice cubes
1 tbsp raw walnuts
1 tbsp gluten free rolled oats
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp fresh grated nutmeg
pinch of ginger
Optional: 1-2 dates (or other preferred sweetener, to taste)
I didn’t have time today to create the exact lovely original recipe, but this one worked out just lovely as well. Whip it all up in the trusty vitamix and you’re golden.
