These shoestring sweet potato fries are such a great side dish. And super easy to make! This one’s for my sis 🙂
I don’t measure out my spices for this because I like to make it a little different each time! You will need a spiralizer for this one, but they are everywhere these days! Not like when I first got mine and had to go on the hunt and pay with my right arm haha.
2 medium sweet potatoes (try to get ones that are pretty round in shape and large in diameter-otherwise they won’t work well)
Spices I used: Sea Salt, Black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, cumin and paprika.
Another Version: Sea salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and rosemary
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
2. Wash (and I mean scrub) your sweet potatoes and chop off any undesirable bits, including the ends. Cut your potatoes in half. Spiralize all pieces to the best of your ability. This is the setting I used:
3. Line a large baking tray with parchment paper and spread out the shoestrings in one even layer. Sprinkle with all of your spices evenly (you honestly can’t go wrong here)
4. Pop in the oven for 15 minutes. Check after 15 minutes, and you will likely need to put them back in for another 15. Just careful not to burn, as it is easy to do. Once they are crispy they are done. EASY!
