Lavender Rose Lemonade

This link for Lavender Lemonade was shared with me by Danielle.  This is supposed to aid in headache relief as well as anxiety.

I decided to put my own little spin on it and add some rose buds as well, which made it pink rather than purple, but still pretty, tart and delightful to the senses.

Ingredients I used:

6 c water

4-5 tbsp powdered stevia (or 1 c honey)

1 tbsp dried culinary lavender

1 tbsp dried culinary rosebuds

6 lemons, juiced

My Little Helper 🙂

1. Bring 3 cups of water to a boil.  Remove from heat.

2. Add lavender, rose buds, and stevia or honey.  Allow to steep, covered for about 20 minutes.

3.  Strain the liquid into a jug and add the lemon juice and additional 3 cups of water.

4. Allow to cool completely in fridge.  And enjoy cold.

Note:  you can add more stevia or honey to taste once chilled.

I was disappointed at first because there was not much colour. BUT wait till you add the lemons!!! It brightens everything up!

Next time I will try with only lavender just to see the pretty colour!

I am enjoying my first glass… We will see if it helps the headache! If not, I would make it again just for the taste.

Thanks for sharing Danielle!
