Lemon Ginger Water for Nausea

This is really simple, and there isn’t much to it.  But I thought I would share anyways.

It helped soothe my upset stomach today.


2 lemons, juiced and sliced

Ginger, grated or sliced and muddled (to taste.  I like lots of ginger to help sooth my upset stomach)

Ground ginger (for sprinkling on top)


Boil water.  Add juice of two lemons and sliced lemons along with grated or muddled ginger to a french press.

Add 1-2 cups of boiling water and allow to steep 10-20 minutes.

To reduce acidity and the inflammatory process, I like to add 1/2 teaspoon of Tri-Salts.  (A combination of calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, and potassium bicarbonate)  This makes your beverage look slightly cloudy, but does not have much of an effect of the taste.


Pour the water into a glass and sprinkle with a little ground ginger.  If you are allowed honey, a little honey or stevia would be nice in this as well.
