His and Hers Smoothies

His:  Raspberry Banana Peach Smoothie

(It’s pink, I know haha)

Raspberry Banana Peach Smoothie

Makes Two Servings (but he usually has it as one)

1 Frozen Banana

1 c frozen raspberries

1 fresh peach, pit removed

1 c almond milk

1/2 c vanilla yogurt

1 scoop vanilla protein powder

1 tsp honey

Blend it all up until smooth and creamy.  Serve immediately.  

Hers:  Chocolate Blueberry Smoothie

(adapted from a recipe my poppa sent to me the other day from Dr. Hyman’s website.)  Thanks for the suggestion Pop 🙂

Chocolate Blueberry Smoothie

1/4 cup frozen blueberries (I used 1/2 cup)

12 oz water

2 tbsp cocao powder, unsweetened

2 tbsp cashews

1/2 tsp vanilla extract (pure)

1/2 avocado

4 medjool dates, pitted, or sweetener of choice

(the original recipe does not call for this, but I found it quite bitter, so the dates were the perfect addition for a natural sweetness to the cocao.)

3-4 ice cubes

Blend all ingredients on high speed until thickened and creamy.  Yum.
