DAY 10 Attempt at Fighting the Triple Threat

I have been having a very hard time twice per day (morning and evening) when I have to take the triple-threat debilitating meds combo.  The nystatin/azithro/doxy killer.

Literally within 30-40 minutes every single time I take this combo, whether with food or without, it really does not matter.  Without fail, I have EXTREME nausea, banging headache and my body becomes stiff and heavy like I can’t move.  I dread the hour when I have to take this stuff and have ended up crying every time after I do.  Not sure if that is a side effect or just me being a big baby because I feel so badly.

I realized last night that it really only is debilitating for an hour or so.  So I can stick it out, BUT that’s an hour too long.

Today I am doing a test.  I am going to arm myself with ready to go remedies for the side effects it brings on and see how it goes.

1.)  2/3 cup ice cold water mixed with 1/2 tsp baking soda, keeping this in the fridge so it is ready when my nausea hits, just a quick stir and drink it down.)

2.)  My peppermint essential oil wand and rollerball to apply to my localized pain spots on my head, in hand.  (I will write more about these products in another post.)

3.)  A foot basin filled with warm water and epsom salts, 2 tbsp worth.  (I am going to use the one my sister got me, as it is a combo of epsom salts, sea salt, baking soda, and lavender). Exactly what I need to soothe and calm myself.  Plus a towel in case I need to get up to get my baking soda drink.

4.)  A warm cup of Pukka Ginger Tea

5.)  My heating pad (or hot water bottle) for my uneasy tummy.

6.) Finally, a cozy spot on the couch with the tv on with something uplifting.  So I can sit upright with my feet soaking and be very very very still until the “attack” passes.

It’s worth a try….I’ll let you know how it pans out for me.  I took my meds at 11:45am and it took me about 20 minutes to prep all this.  I should be getting hit pretty soon….I will write a post later with details of each product I used (if this helps). But maybe either way I will, because it may help others.

Wish me luck…..

Day 5 Again

So I guess I spoke too soon on Day 5 because here I am…laying here…after midnight battling with my exhausted body against insomnia and a severe severe headache piercing between my eyes my temples and the back of my skull.  I literally cannot fall asleep through the pain.

Does anybody know how to ease a headache whilst not interfering with my treatment and meds???

Ughhhhh.

A little taste of what it’s really like
